Game Components
Hero Cards:
Each card represents a unique hero with special passive and active abilities. From the arcane sorceress Astra to the cunning necromancer Draven, choose your champion and harness their powers to craft your path to victory
Spell Cards:
Split into Direct Spells and Counter Spells, these cards form the core of gameplay. Direct Spells are used to attack opponents or bolster your defenses, while Counter Spells provide tactical responses to incoming threats.
Surge Cards:
These cards introduce unexpected twists and challenges, affecting all players when drawn, and adding an element of surprise that can change the tide of the game.
Mana Tokens:
Essential for casting spells, these tokens are accumulated and spent throughout the game. Managing your mana is key to victory, as too much can lead to a dangerous overload.
Core Mechanics
Hero Abilities:
Every hero card comes with passive abilities that automatically influence play and active abilities that cost mana to use. Choosing when to activate these abilities can significantly impact the game’s outcome.
Spell Casting and Countering:
Utilize your spell cards to outmaneuver opponents, carefully planning each move to either cast potent spells or counter those of your adversaries
Resource Management:
Balancing your mana is crucial. Gather mana tokens to power your most potent spells. Gather too much mana and you risking Overloading, which can turn fatal.
Player Interaction and Strategy:
Every turn is an opportunity for interaction, whether you're casting spells, countering actions, or dealing with the effects of a surge card. The game encourages strategic planning, prediction, and adaptation.
